Who

Inspiration

Nature

My deepest passion is ‘moving’, travelling through the world. Searching for panoramic views, experiencing different cultures. I love being outdoors. From in the desert of Namibia to the woods around the corner. Strolling along the sea, the rivers or staring into a campfire. It makes me feel alive.

The movement of the tides; coming and going; repetition in patterns; simplicity and colors. It inspires me and clears my mind.

Tai Chi Chuan, the strength of softness, another way of processing.

Constellation: When Faith Moves Mountains, Francis Alys, Cuauhtemoc Medina and Rafael Ortega in Lima, Peru, project of 2002.

The questions posed by my client organizations often seem to be impossible to work with initially,   because of size, deep belief systems, history, and ‘stuck-ness’ in their system. But realize: it all starts with the belief that it’s possible to change that what seems impossible!

The idea was 'to move the mountain'!

Three protagonists gave shovels to 500 volunteers and asked them to form a line along a sand dune. The volunteers would use their shovels to ‘move’ the sand dune 10 cm from its original position.
